Dokken Engineering completed the PS&E and Construction Support for the new Sequoia Avenue Bridge. The structure is a two span cast-in-place post-tensioned box girder bridge over the Arroyo Simi in Simi Valley. The site had extensive anticipated scour and flow velocities on the channel. Ventura County Flood Control required a special pier shape to minimize the retention of debris.

The new structure served as the main entrance/exit for a new residential development south of the channel. Construction was completed in less than nine months.
