Dokken Engineering has been the City of Gilroy’s on-call bridge design consultant since 2004.  Dokken recently performed design on 3 bridges in the City of Gilroy and planning work for 3 future structures.

Sixth Street Overcrossing Modifications 37-326
Addition of communication conduits, street lighting and approach slabs to the existing overcrossing. Work approved by Caltrans under Encroachment Permit.

10th Street Bridge
Preparation of APS’s for a crossing of Uvas Creek. This bridge crosses rough creek terrain with high and steep natural banks. To accommodate this terrain and the surrounding roadway conforms requires a steep profile for the bridge and special design considerations.

Camino Arroyo Bridge
Design of a typical 2 span box girder bridge over the West Branch of Llagas Creek. Dokken Engineering prepared the type selection package, rendering, PS&E, bridge lighting, geotechnical services and obtained permits from the Santa Clara Valley Water District, Army Corp of Engineers, Fish and Game and Regional Water Quality Control Board. Construction of this bridge will be complete in October 2008.

Farrell Avenue Bridge Widening
Widening design and construction support of this 3 span cast-in-place concrete slab bridge over the West Branch of Llagas Creek. Dokken Engineering prepared this entire PS&E package, including roadway approaches, geotechnical services, permitting and construction support.
