Fuller Drive Intersection Improvements |

The Fuller Drive Intersection Improvements project is Phase 1 of the ultimate project to widen Auburn Folsom Road from two lanes to four lanes from the Placer County line to Douglas Boulevard. Fuller Drive is a “T” intersection with Auburn Folsom Road in the Granite Bay community. Fuller Drive is the access to a local high school as well as residential and retail shops. The new signal replaced an existing stop sign on Fuller Drive and provided protected traffic movements onto northbound and southbound Auburn Folsom Road. The intersection improvements were designed to the ultimate lane configuration (four lanes) of Auburn Folsom Road |
The intersection improvements taper back down to conform to the existing two-lane Auburn Folsom Road without loss of access to the adjacent properties. The funding for this phase of the project was from Traffic Mitigation Fee, collected by Placer County. When Phase 2 is constructed, no major work will be required at the Fuller Drive intersection. The intersection improvements will bring Fuller Drive up to code for all current ADA requirements with the installation of new curb ramps on all four corners. |
