This project, completed in 2006, expanded and enhanced the existing El Dorado County Transit Authority (EDCTA) Park-and-Ride Facility located at Cambridge Road and the Highway 50 westbound off-ramp.

The project included the construction of a new transit parking facility consisting of: new parking stalls, a bus pull-out lane, pedestrian and bicycle shelters, a retaining structure, site lighting, and a new drainage basin.

Due to construction associated with the neighboring Caltrans interchange and differing site conditions, much of the design had to be modified in the field. Dokken Engineering was able to deliver the project on time and with no net cost increase during construction due to change orders, or other issues that arose during construction.

Dokken Engineering resolved many issues including ADA striping issue, reduced retaining wall for improved aesthetics, and addressing an invalid claim from an adjacent property owner for property damage.
