Dokken Engineering provided the Project Study Report, Environmental Documents, Project Report, Advance Planning Studies, preliminary engineering, and PS&E for the replacement and/or widening of 4 overcrossings, 1 overhead, and 2 freeway undercrossing structures on the SR 91 Corridor in Riverside County. Dokken Engineering provided the full range of consultant services required to plan, develop, design, and construct 3 overcrossings to replace existing structures at Lincoln Avenue, Smith Avenue and Maple Street. The project scheduling required close coordination with the Riverside County Transportation Commission’s SR 91 widening projects. |
Dokken Engineering prepared the PS&E for bridges, retaining walls, and soundwalls to widen the Brookhurst Avenue and Euclid Avenue undercrossings on the SR 91. Precast, prestressed concrete cored slab units were used to widen the bridges on both sides, as there was insufficient clearance for falsework available under the existing bridges. Dokken also performed Advance Planning Studies for the Green River Overcrossing and prepared the PS&E for widening the West Prado Overhead structure. The median HOV widening design incorporated seismic retrofit measures for the existing freeway structures. Close coordination with the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe railroad was required. |
