Dokken Engineering provided Construction Inspectors for the strengthening and retrofit of 108 bridges throughout San Diego County. Two Project Engineers assisted the Project Manager with training and coordinating an inspection staff of 17 who inspected the bridges. Dokken Engineering was rated the best consultant statewide working for Caltrans on this contract.

I-8/I-805 Interchange
Prior to Dokken Engineering working on the project, 67 columns were rejected for defective welds in the rebar. Claims issues were extensive and our record keeping was critical in terms of minimizing disputes and controlling costs. Dokken Engineering provided an office engineer, at the State’s request, to maintain the records and files.

I-5/SR 274 Interchange
The I-5/SR 274 Interchange project consisted of the Rose Canyon Creek Bridge, I-5/SR 274 Separation (left and right bridges), Morena Blvd Overcrossing and Mission Bay Drive Overcrossing.

I-5/SR-163 Interchange
Dokken Engineering provided the Structure Representative and Assistant Structure Representatives for the seismic retrofit of the I-5/SR-163 Interchange project.

I-805/SR 163 Interchange
The structures on this project consisted of 2 separations, 3 overcrossings, 2 connector overcrossings and 1 pedestrian overcrossing.
