Senior Geotechnical Engineer

The ideal candidate must be a registered professional engineer (civil or geotechnical) with between 8 to 12 years of relevant geotechnical experience. A master’s level degree is preferred but not required. Must be proficient in soil mechanics (site investigations, shallow and deep foundation engineering, slope stability, earthworks construction and support systems) and seismic engineering. Must also be able to work on a mix of small to large projects in the transportation (highways and transit sectors) and urban infrastructure. Must be comfortable working in multi disciplinary project teams and be able to balance practically with state of the art solutions, be familiar with Caltrans and local agency practices, and actively participate in and contribute to relevant professional organizations to maintain and raise personal and corporate profiles. Must have excellent oral and written communication proficiencies, possess strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, clients and potential clients, and must have strong initiative skills. Proficiency in the following software is a strong plus: LPILE, SHAFT, SLOPE/W, SIGMA/W, GROUP, FB-MULITPER, DRIVEN, GRLWEAP, LIQUEFYPRO, MSWORD, EXCEL, and MICROSTATION.

Signing bonus dependent on experience.

Compensation: Salary range between $80,000 to $130,000/year.
